Mechs Warfare: Review

When it comes to “mechs” – huge walking combat robots, nostalgia for the famous BattleTech universe makes you shiver. The imagination instantly pictures the distant future, the creaking sounds of the mechanisms of artificial giants and the earth-shaking roar of the approach of a “vertical tank” are heard… Wa-a-ar! Game Craft also imbued with this atmosphere and released a mobile game Mechs Warfare, giving everyone the opportunity to take the pilot’s seat of one of the giants.

Weak graphics and modest visuals hide a real treat for fans of the BattleTech universe – with tactical battles and “customization” of robots.

Death Squadron

We are thrown into https://bumblebingocasino.co.uk/ an empire where rival clans have almost brought the confrontation to war. The tense situation is defused in local battles for influence over territories using mechanized robots. The loser leaves and the winner takes it all. The best warrior equips his mech with high-tech weapons and armor kits. It would seem that there is no more ideal embodiment of the series MechWarrior on mobile devices. If not for one “but”: the notorious artificial intelligence is responsible for moving the colossus. The player’s responsibilities include only controlling the aim of the guns to attack the enemy.

When squeezing all the juice out of the touch screen, you should focus on the condition of the guns – their overheating will force you to wait up to 20 seconds to reload. During this time, a powerful opponent will turn everything around into purgatory. Only safe zones on small isolated maps save. It is possible to take out a place in the sun only by throwing bullets at your opponent. Successful use of guns results in victory and increased reputation of the pilot in one of six clans. Commitment to a particular side strengthens and develops key abilities.

Fights in Mechs Warfare fleeting. Even the most aggressive round lasts no more than 10 minutes. Then hundreds of thousands of shells fly in both directions. Fortunately, patronage is not limited. In this war, accuracy, careful planning for the modernization of the steel giant and the ability to correctly assess the strength of an opponent play a significant role. A little action, a little tactics and a complete lack of a navigation system turns the project into an arcade game that is perfect for mobile devices.

In general, “pumping up” the fur is a clear evolution of the combat robot. It’s a pity that you can only see it from the outside in the garage. More than a dozen interconnected elements of the vehicle require protection with armored plates. The player independently decides how and where to install them. If one of the parts is broken, the entire robot fails. The cause of death could be, for example, a knocked-out navigation element or a fire that broke out in the cockpit.

Each of the four classes of “vertical tanks” is endowed with unique characteristics. But even a light and super-heavy assault robot are carefully balanced. Do you want to play defense?? Choose a siege mechanoid with ballistic cannons. If you’re good at dynamic shooting, then a lightweight biped with energy blasters will suit your style.

Temperature of guns, checking the navigation system, determining distance, searching for vulnerable parts, aiming… Or!

IN Mechs Warfare there are many strengths, but they all relate to internal content that is not noticeable at first glance. The appearance of mechanoids and arenas, special effects and sound are completely unattractive. The developers didn’t bother to decorate the robots with decent textures, even when viewing them close-up in the garage. But the gameplay, the built-in mini-game for upgrading the vehicle, the exciting selection of tactics and the short battles are so cool that we can safely recommend Mechs Warfare every fan of the BattleTech universe and mobile entertainment.

Pros: simple control of the mechs; mini-game on setting up robots before fights; detailed study of the damage system; balanced characteristics of four types of combat vehicles; Smooth multiplayer even on weak internet connections.
Cons: weak visual part; lack of single player mode; there is no possibility of manual control of the robot’s movement around the arena.
